Location-based vs market-based Scope 2?

Location-based uses the average grid factor for your country. Market-based uses supplier-specific certificates (GOs in the EU, RECs elsewhere). CSRD requires both — this tool defaults to location-based; set grid factor to 0 to model 100% renewable PPA.

Are spend-based Scope 3 numbers accurate?

Spend-based EEIO factors are rough (±40%). Use them as a first estimate, then refine your top-5 categories with supplier-specific data before CSRD assurance.

Do I need to include Scope 3 for CSRD?

Yes, if material. ESRS E1 requires the 15 GHG Protocol categories to be assessed; only material ones must be reported quantitatively.
